Mortgage Loan Assistant
About the Role
Assist Mortgage Loan Officer in obtaining required documentation from borrowers and other staff to ensure loans are closed in a timely manner, meeting customer expectations. Ensure documentation meets all regulatory and agency guidelines. Work with the Mortgage Loan Officer in marketing First Financial Bank to increase productivity.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Loan Officer in obtaining documentation from customers
- Act as an interface between Loan Officer and Operations to obtain required documentation
- Work with Encompass, Blend, Optimal Blue, and other systems as needed
- Interface with customers as needed
- Assist the Loan Officer in marketing efforts
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mortgage Loan Processor OR Mortgage Loan Officer
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
Preferred qualifications and skills for the role, though not required.
Physical Requirements
- Occasionally lifts and carries up to 20 lbs
- Frequently lifts and carries up to 10 lbs
- Occasionally drives
- Frequently sits, stands, and walks
Pay
This position pays at least the applicable state minimum wage plus commission opportunities based on performance.
