Mortgage Consultant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Originating residential mortgage loans by soliciting business through multiple channels
• Negotiating prices to meet company profitability objectives
• Ensuring compliance with established lending policies and procedures
• Presenting Cambria Mortgage residential mortgage products to realtors, builders, and other housing-related businesses in the Minnesota market
• Effectively soliciting, tracking, and monitoring all leads generated and provided by Cambria Mortgage
• Identifying new business opportunities to meet company goals
• Collaborating with operations team to ensure customer service, loan quality, and targets are achieved and/or exceeded
• Maintaining knowledge of compliance policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, finance, or something similar
• Experience: At least 3 years of loan origination experience

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven track record in mortgage sales
• Knowledge of loan products and underwriting guidelines
• State loan originator license
• Ability to develop strong and lasting relationships
• Effective and tactful negotiating skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed

Physical Requirements

• Office position requiring telephone and computer use

Travel Requirements

• Travel required to networking or client events as well as to other Cambria locations
