About the role

This position is primarily responsible for remediation of delinquent bank owned, Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) and Private Investor real estate secured accounts ensuring timely contact with borrowers, proper system notations of all attempts and borrower conversations.

Responsibilities

  • Attempts to contact borrowers utilizing effective human relation skills to collect on delinquent mortgage loans.
  • Researches loan origination documentation and electronic file to determine other means of reaching the borrower and initiates skip-tracing efforts if warranted.
  • Achieves productivity goals as set by management, including calls/contact/promises and response time to all inbound calls.
  • Ensures complete and concise notation on bank’s system of all attempts, conversations, promise to pay arrangements, alternate financial arrangements, letters mailed, payments received, maintenance requests, etc., and sets appropriate follow-up dates.
  • Ensures proper account maintenance to comply with FCRA, CFPB, SCRA, and system data integrity for accurate internal and external reporting (FNMA, FHLMC).
  • Complies with all GSE standards to attempt contact every 5-7 days until right party contact (RPC) is achieved.
  • Reviews records and transactions, resolves misapplied payments, researches transactions, and organizes/summarizes information accurately and timely for all portfolios.
  • Ensures proper loan maintenance to accurately flag loans such as foreclosure, bankruptcy, non-post, or restricted.
  • Maintains proper ledger of all foreclosure-related expenses and credits to ensure proper collection.
  • Complies with all policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
  • Serves as a risk manager by understanding, reporting, responding to, and monitoring risks encountered daily as required by F.N.B. Corporation’s risk management program.
  • Adheres to regulatory laws and guidelines to achieve superior levels of compliance.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of job-related experience.

Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use general office equipment and a personal computer with job-related software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint at a basic level).
  • Knowledge of laws relating to foreclosure, repossession, and fair debt.
