Mortgage Closing Manager

About the role

This position is remote eligible but you must be located in the following states: TN, KY, AL, or GA.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day management, attendance, training, hiring, recruiting, and performance reviews for all closing department staff, including Closers, Funders, and ICD Specialists.
• Interface professionally with title companies, clients, real estate agents, mortgage loan officers, and mortgage lenders to ensure successful closings.
• Elevate service levels for customers by overseeing all mortgage loan closings.
• Participate in the Regional Operations Center (ROC) Leadership Team and promote the goals, standards, and vision of the ROC within your team.
• Manage the ROC closing pipeline and proactively communicate to ensure all teams are informed and prepared for successful closings.
• Ensure future salability and quality control of residential mortgage loans and refinances by adhering to all lender underwriting guidelines and federal and state regulations.
• Examine and implement closing processes to maintain accurate loan files, settlement statements, and closing documents.
• Cultivate an environment that supports diversity, teamwork, and performance.
• Provide leadership through communication, performance management, development, and recognition of staff.
• Manage the team by hiring, coaching, training, and providing direction to team members through feedback to support personal development and ongoing improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5 years of experience in mortgage closing.
• Management experience in operations.
• Understanding of lending industry trends and various mortgage products such as FHA, USDA, Conventional, etc.
• Exceptional communication, supervision, math, customer service, and organization skills.
• Respectful demeanor toward other associates and managers that promotes a positive and professional work environment.
