About the role

At Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU), you'll be part of a not-for-profit organization that reinvests in its members. This position offers a hybrid and flexible schedule, with 2 days per week required in the office. We prioritize internal promotions and offer on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the loan for closing and ensures all closing documents are correct and accurate and are in compliance with government and credit union regulations.
• Ensures that loan approval stipulations are met prior to loan closing, and that third party requests are transmitted and received in order to meet established time standards.
• Solves member problems, obtains information, researches records, follows up on details, assesses member needs timely and efficiently and reports the results to the inquiring party to develop and sustain profitable member relationship.
• Reviews asset documentation to ensure the borrower has sufficient funds to close the transaction.
• Reviews final Closing Disclosures (CDs) and ensures all fees, terms and data are accurate.
• Ensures all pre-closing conditions and documentation requirements are met prior to closing.
• Collaborates with title companies, attorneys, loan officers, processors and applicants to coordinate and communicate closing details.
• Handles funding tasks, including reviewing signed closing packages, verifying accuracy, and disbursing funds when applicable.
• Answers incoming calls, assists applicants with questions regarding their Closing Disclosure, loan documents, escrow, etc., or re-direct the caller to appropriate staff in other areas of department or the Credit Union.
• Maintains up to date knowledge and adheres to all regulations, policies, procedures and standards that pertain to this position.
• Ensures compliance with TRID, RESPA, TILA, and other federal and state regulations.
• Capable of handling a pipeline of 20-40 loan files, while meeting contract closing dates.
• Adheres to established productivity and loan quality standards to meet quality service standards.
• Supports the sales efforts of all Express Mortgages team members by providing the member with appropriate product and service materials in order to enhance the overall SCCU cooperative/member relationship.

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum level of knowledge, skills and/or ability required.
• Education And Training: Associated Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Prior Experience: 3-5 years processing, closing or banking experience is required. Preferred Mortgage Closing or Mortgage Processing experience. Familiarity with TRID and investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA).

Pay

Starting Compensation: $24.74 - $26.20 per hour

Bonus Opportunity: Eligible for ONE SCCU Annual Bonus.

Schedule

Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
