About the role
MixyPaws is looking for a dependable person to join our professional team as a Dog Walker! This is a part-time, W-2 employed position that includes benefits such as paid time off (PTO) and 401(k) payroll contributions. You will receive paid training and ongoing education on dog and cat behavior.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the dogs in each household to go outside with appropriate safety gear
- Lead 30-60 minute walks and active play sessions
- Administer food, water, or medication per client instructions
- Clean up after pups outdoors and indoors as needed
- Send updates/photos and log behavior or health notes
- Build strong rapport with pets and their owners
Requirements
- Availability: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 10 AM
- Ability to commute to and around Manhattan
- Prior experience with dogs and cats is a plus, but not required
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. and a minimum age of 18
- Capable of withstanding all weather conditions outside and several hours of walking each day
- A smartphone with a data plan for communication and tracking walks

Pay & Perks
- Paid per walk (rate varies by visit length and location)
- Typical earnings: $100-$400 per week
- PTO accrual and 401(k) eligibility after 6 months
- Additional earning opportunities with overnight pet sitting and group walks
