About the role
Join our team as a Moped Delivery Driver in the vibrant Waikiki area of Honolulu, Hawaii! We're looking for reliable and customer-focused individuals to ensure timely and efficient delivery services to our valued customers.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a moped to deliver packages, food, or other items within the Waikiki area
- Navigate through local streets and traffic efficiently to meet delivery deadlines
- Interact professionally with customers during pickups and deliveries
- Verify delivery information and obtain necessary signatures
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and mileage
- Conduct basic pre-trip inspections of the moped to ensure it's in good working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members
- Handle cash transactions when required
- Assist with loading and unloading items as needed
- Deliver product by moped and then to the door of the customer
- Deliver flyers and door hangers
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Moped license (if required by local regulations)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of Waikiki area streets and traffic patterns
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Physical ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25 pounds
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Basic smartphone proficiency for using delivery apps and GPS navigation
- Ability to work in various weather conditions typical of Honolulu
- Access to an insured moped which can be used for delivery
Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery or courier services preferred
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is a plus

Physical Requirements
- Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces.
- Walking: Short distances for short durations, including between the store and delivery vehicle, and from the vehicle to the customer's location.
- Sitting: Paperwork is normally completed in an office at a desk or table.
- Lifting: Deliveries may include cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, lifted from the floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high. Carry pizzas, beverages, and trays of pizza dough (up to 12 pounds per tray).
- Pushing: Move trays on dollies, requiring a force of up to 7.5 pounds.
- Climbing: Navigate stairs or ladders for tasks like changing prices, washing walls, or performing maintenance. Delivery may require navigating five or more flights of stairs.
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist is necessary at the pizza assembly station and when stocking ingredients.
- Crouching/Squatting: Performed occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
- Reaching: Continuously performed up, down, and forward, including reaching above 72" for tasks like turning on/off oven controls or changing prices.
- Driving: Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area, potentially making several deliveries per shift.
Team Members may also be required to use pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels.
