Responsibilities

  • Operate all store equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product and receive/process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
  • Deliver pizzas and beverages to customers within a designated area.
  • Deliver flyers and door hangers.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
  • Access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.
  • Navigational skills to read maps, locate addresses, and navigate adverse terrain (e.g., multi-story buildings, private homes).
  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written/verbal instructions.
  • Strong communication skills for processing orders over the phone and in person.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to make correct monetary change.
  • Motor coordination for rapid, precise movements (e.g., entering orders via keyboard/touch screen).

Physical Requirements

  • Standing: Most tasks performed while standing; work surfaces range from 36" to 48" high.
  • Walking: Short distances/durations, including between store and delivery vehicle.
  • Sitting: Paperwork completed at a desk or table.
  • Lifting: Unload bulk deliveries (up to 50 lbs) using a hand truck; stack cases onto shelves up to 72" high. Carry pizza dough trays (12 lbs each), large cans (3 lbs), and pizza sauce (30 lbs).
  • Pushing/Pulling: Move trays on dollies (force up to 7.5 lbs).
  • Climbing: Navigate stairs/ladder for tasks like changing signs or maintenance; may climb 5+ flights during deliveries.
  • Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at pizza assembly station (30–45 seconds at a time, repeated continuously).
  • Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
  • Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like retrieving ingredients or operating equipment.

Work Conditions

  • Environment: Exposure to varying/adverse weather (e.g., delivering, removing trash), in-store temperatures (36°F–90°F+), fumes/odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped spaces (e.g., walk-in cooler).
  • Surfaces/Tools: Hot surfaces (ovens up to 500°F+), sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
  • Sensory: Near/mid-range vision for in-store tasks, depth perception, far/night vision for driving, and ability to differentiate hot/cold surfaces.
  • Temperament: Ability to direct activities, work alone/with others, handle stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments/decisions.

Skills

  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for order processing.
  • Computer/touch screen proficiency for order entry.
  • Analytical skills for compiling data and problem-solving.

Training
