Mopar Accessories, Competitive Benchmarking Analyst
Primary Responsibilities
Conducting detailed competitive benchmarking assessments of OEM and aftermarket accessory offerings for current production vehicles.
Researching competitor Build & Price sites, dealer-installed options, factory upfit programs, and retail accessory portfolios to identify market trends and opportunities.
Supporting accessory portfolio reviews by gathering and organizing competitive product, pricing, feature, and packaging information.
Monitoring competitor vehicle launches, accessory announcements, and industry trends to support ongoing portfolio strategy discussions.
Developing competitive comparison reports, presentations, and executive summaries for Product Planning, Sales, Marketing, and Brand teams.
Assisting with analysis of accessory pricing, content strategies, and package positioning across competitor vehicle lines.
Supporting benchmarking activities related to off-road, truck, SUV, lifestyle, protection, appearance, and performance accessory categories.
Maintaining competitive tracking databases, benchmarking templates, and reporting tools.
Partnering with Product Planning teams to identify portfolio gaps, white-space opportunities, and future accessory recommendations.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Automotive, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in automotive, market research, data analysis, retail, or related business functions.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to gather, organize, and interpret large amounts of competitive information.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Experience
- Interest in automotive products, accessories, off-road, truck, or performance markets.
- Experience conducting research, benchmarking, or market analysis projects.
- Familiarity with vehicle configurators, OEM websites, or automotive retail environments.
- Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
