Moosup | Life Skills Trainer / Disability Home Care

Requirements

• Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
• One or two years of experience working with and/or providing for individuals who live at home and have had one of the following: stroke, concussions, brain injury, TBI
• A letter from a person and/or employer verifying experience
• Car, driver’s license and insurance
• High-school and/or GED graduate

Qualifications

• Supporting clients with all aspects of home and community life
• Ensuring consistent safety
• Providing a healthy and professional friendship
• Personal hygiene and dressing assistance
• Scheduling, attending and reporting on medical and therapeutic appointments
• Shopping, cooking, and cleaning with the client
• Organizing consistent exercise, socialization, and entertainment

Benefits

• Directed and monitored by various state and local agencies including DSS, DMHAS, BRS, DDS, Legal Conservators, CCCI, SWCAA, WCAAA, and care management access agencies

Pay

Pay Rate: Dependent on experience and client needs.
