Monitor Technician NIGHTS

Job Summary

As the Telemetry Tech, you will continuously monitor the ECG pattern of all telemetry patients. In conjunction with the RN, you will evaluate ECG rhythms, including alterations in intervals, and alert the RN to any changes or life-threatening alterations in the patients' monitored status.

Qualifications

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification required.
• Successful completion of a basic arrhythmia interpretation course, including passing an EKG interpretation test prior to beginning position, required.
• EMT, paramedic, or 1 year experience as a CNA in a critical care nursing environment preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Recognition must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
