About the Role
The Monitoring Technician is responsible for ongoing surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern, and prior variances. Works cooperatively as part of a team. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Nights, Full Time, 36 hours per week

Qualifications
- High school diploma, G.E.D., and/or current Mercy coworker
- Monitor tech course completion and/or passing score of 85% on monitor tech competency exam
- Basic computer skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to make quick decisions under pressure
