Monitor Technician - Nights

About the role

The Monitoring Technician position at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City - Memorial Rd Telemetry involves on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and providing immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms to RNs and clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern, and prior variances.
• Works cooperatively as part of a team.
• Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and Service Standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
• Completion of a monitor tech course and/or a passing score of 85% on a monitor tech competency exam.
• Basic computer skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task are essential.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure are required.
