Monitor Technician - Central Telemetry - Full Time Days (7am-7:30pm)

Responsibilities

• Makes sure patients' heartbeats are being watched properly.
• Looks at the machine that watches patients and tells someone if something isn't right.
• Gets patients onto and off the machine that watches them.
• Takes pictures of the machine to make sure it's working correctly.
• Knows what the patients need and gives them the best care possible.
• Communicates with the patient, their family, or caregivers in a way they understand.
• Follows the rules set by the hospital.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a health-related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in cardiology-related field.
• Completed a monitor technician course at a hospital and passed the HUMC Dysrhythmia Challenge Exam within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with computers.

The actual starting rate of pay may vary based on various factors including labor market data, experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location, internal equity, departmental budgets, and grant funding. Some positions may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions.
