Monitor Technician

About the role

As a Monitor Technician at Centerpoint Medical Center, you will be responsible for the equipment setup and continuous cardiac observation of telemetry patients at a centralized station. Our team is passionate about ensuring an exceptional patient experience and committed to caring like family.

Responsibilities

• Set up telemetry equipment for new admissions according to established procedures.
• Interpret and document rhythm strips at regular intervals.
• Report any cardiac arrhythmias or rhythm changes to the primary nurse.
• Report changes in pulse oximetry data to the primary nurse.
• Assist in maintaining telemetry supplies.

Requirements

• Applicant must successfully complete the monitor technician credentialing process within the first three weeks of employment.
