MONITOR TECH (PER DIEM DAYS)
About the role
The primary responsibility of this role is to monitor and recognize continuous electrocardiographic telemetry.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of telemetry data.
- Recognize and respond to abnormal electrocardiogram patterns.
- Communicate findings to healthcare providers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Successful completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia course or passing an arrhythmia test administered by the Education Department.
- Basic PC knowledge and medical terminology.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Certification of completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia course.
License/Certification
- Current BLS Certification.
Other
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
