MONITOR TECH (PER DIEM DAYS)

About the role

The primary responsibility of this role is to monitor and recognize continuous electrocardiographic telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of telemetry data.
• Recognize and respond to abnormal electrocardiogram patterns.
• Communicate findings to healthcare providers as needed.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia course or passing an arrhythmia test administered by the Education Department.
• Basic PC knowledge and medical terminology.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Certification of completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia course.

License/Certification

• Current BLS Certification.

Other

• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
