Monitor Tech
Job Summary and Qualifications
Your work as a monitor technician is vital. You will routinely monitor patients, review patient charts, send charts to medical records after discharge, and have daily interaction with patients and other healthcare personnel. Consistency, accuracy, and timeliness are crucial in this role.
Requirements
- Current BLS required
- Successful completion of arrhythmia interpretation class or demonstrated proficiency through testing
- Minimum of one year acute care hospital experience preferred
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
Skills
You will interpret test results and report them to the healthcare personnel team. You will also transcribe physician orders 100% of the time and alert nursing to STAT and NOW orders.
