About the role
As a monitor technician, your work is vital with monitoring patients' heart performance and checking for any abnormalities, such as irregular heartbeats, arrhythmias, and cardiac arrest. Your position as a monitor tech, plays an important role in the care of patients and healthcare providers by consistently interpreting test results and reporting those results to the healthcare personnel team. Responsibilities
- Routinely monitor patients
- Review patient charts
- Send charts to medical records after discharge
- Daily interaction with patients and other healthcare personnel
- Transcribe physician orders 100% of the time
- Alert nursing to STAT and NOW orders
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Minimum of one year acute care hospital experience preferred
- Successful completion of arrhythmia interpretation class or demonstrated proficiency through testing
