Overview

Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area.

Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital.

Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Assists with long term monitoring vital to patient care in the observation of patients with cardiac arrhythmia, suspected arrhythmia, drug intervention per floor with need for observation, and potential of life threatening cardiac events.

Initiates first response and responders to at risk patients.

Responsibilities

Supports and demonstrates the continuous improvements of quality and service.

Observes, reports, and documents patient's cardiac rhythm.

Ensures that cardiac monitoring equipment is functioning appropriately.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: No Experience
  • Supervisor Experience: No Experience
  • Experience Preferred:
  • Licenses & Certifications: ECG Rhythm Interpretation
