Momentum Senior Business Analyst

About the role

The Momentum Senior Support Business Analyst will provide day-to-day financial management tasks in Momentum, including resolving support tickets, analyzing business processes, and coordinating system updates.

Responsibilities

• Resolve support tickets (payments, budget discrepancies, interfaces, journal entries) in Momentum
• Analyze business processes, document requirements, and develop/configure solutions
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot escalated issues
• Support month end, quarter end, and year end close activities
• Aid in internal control and audit readiness tasks
• Cook up and test system updates, patches, or upgrades
• Communicate regularly with clients via help desk, user group forums, and stakeholder meetings
• Provide functional testing support: build test scenarios, validate Momentum configurations and reports
• Mentor business analysts and contribute to best practices sharing

Requirements

• 5-8 years of hands-on experience with Momentum (Accounts Payable, Budget Execution, Vendors, General Ledger, or Reporting modules)
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills
• Strategic/critical thinking
• Familiarity with federal financial processes
• Strong oral and written communication
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field

Desired qualifications

• SQL experience (querying, troubleshooting data issues, analytics support)

To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $71,700.00 - $156,700.00.
