R&D Partners is seeking a Molecular Biologist in San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities
- Independently design and execute molecular assays to generate and characterize novel nucleic acids for use across multiple Cell Therapy programs.
- Perform sequence analysis and quality control of generated constructs.
- Independently or with the team, troubleshoot technical issues, resolve problems, and optimize cloning workflows.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and organized laboratory records.
- As needed by the team, additional responsibilities may include cell culture, in vitro cell-based assays, and/or flow cytometry.
Requirements
- Degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of applied experience in the field.
- Proven experience with various cloning techniques (e.g., Gibson Assembly, Golden Gate, Restriction/Ligation).
- Experience with nanoplasmid cloning and production workflows is preferred.
- Proficiency with sequence analysis software (e.g., Benchling, SnapGene, Geneious).
- Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Pay
$57,762 - $98,322 (dependent on experience)
