Molecular Biologist

R&D Partners is seeking a Molecular Biologist in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities

• Independently design and execute molecular assays to generate and characterize novel nucleic acids for use across multiple Cell Therapy programs.
• Perform sequence analysis and quality control of generated constructs.
• Independently or with the team, troubleshoot technical issues, resolve problems, and optimize cloning workflows.
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and organized laboratory records.
• As needed by the team, additional responsibilities may include cell culture, in vitro cell-based assays, and/or flow cytometry.

Requirements

• Degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of applied experience in the field.
• Proven experience with various cloning techniques (e.g., Gibson Assembly, Golden Gate, Restriction/Ligation).
• Experience with nanoplasmid cloning and production workflows is preferred.
• Proficiency with sequence analysis software (e.g., Benchling, SnapGene, Geneious).
• Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

$57,762 - $98,322 (dependent on experience)
