Molder

About the role

Assist the molding supervisor in achieving molding department goals and assist in training new employees. Always work toward continuous improvement, instilling the importance of the suggestion board to coworkers, be safety conscious, and focus on reducing rework and scrap produced.

Responsibilities

• Setup the molding line for production
• Be an example in good housekeeping practice (5-S)
• Be well versed in all aspects of molding, molding line breakdown, and cleaning the molding line
• Learn the principles of mixing
• Understand the principles of blasting and bonding of parts
• Follow the direction of the supervisor learning the molding department's process
• Perform daily cleanup
• Do all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Ability to do basic math and counting
• Willing and able to obtain a forklift license
• Proficient in setting up all related machinery
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, work orders, and the first piece inspection process
• Ability to work in front of a 150-degree oven
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work standing for 10 hours
• Ability to squat/bend/kneel, push and pull up to 50 pounds, climb/reach/overhead, and operate equipment
