Schedule
Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm
Responsibilities
- Safely set up and operate woodworking machines to shape parts from wood stocks.
- Use table saws and handheld tools to assemble wooden box “tools”.
- Precisely trim component parts to ensure snug fittings according to mold specifications.
- Fasten fits and clamps parts into joints to reinforce them.
- Sand and scrape surfaces and joints to prepare for finishing.
- Thoroughly repair molds as needed and track repair frequency for reporting.
- Regularly perform maintenance on molds and mold-making equipment.
- Develop new molds, including design support and creating new or improved control processes.
- Collaborate with plant and organizational team members to resolve internal and external customer complaints.
- Promptly resolve supplier, intra-departmental, and department-to-department product non-conformities.
- Continuously maintain a safe and clean working area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED plus a minimum of one (1) year of cabinet making, precision woodworking, and/or mold building experience.
- Proficient with handheld and motorized woodworking tools.
- Comfortable operating a table saw with precision and manual dexterity.
- Ability to reference and apply blueprints, dimensions, and CAD designs.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including fractions and decimals.
- Proficient with measurements and specifications.
- Basic understanding of cast materials, adhesives, coatings, etc.
Physical/Sensory Requirements
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time, climb stairs, bend, and reach.
- Use hands to grasp, handle, or feel.
- Lift or carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to communicate effectively by telephone, in person, and in writing.
Working Environment
This role operates in a manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noise, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including approved footwear, respirators, and safety glasses/goggles may be required.
Pay
The hourly range for this full-time position is $22.43 - $28.03. Individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
