About the role
Client specialized in manufacturing and custom plastic injection molding services.
Responsibilities
- Operating and maintaining a variety of mold-making tools, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Performing preventive maintenance on molds to ensure their longevity and optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues with molds and mold-making equipment.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints to ensure accurate production of molds.
- Using a forklift to transport heavy materials and equipment.
- Collaborating with other team members to meet production goals and maintain quality standards.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and suggesting ways to improve mold-making processes.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience with mold-making tools, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Demonstrated ability to perform preventive maintenance on molds and mold-making equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
- The ability to perform heavy lifting as required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent. A degree in a related field is a plus.
