Mold Setter

About the role

Responsible for properly and efficiently setting molds in Injection Mold machines, setting up other production equipment as needed, and assisting with other production tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install molds, ensuring proper and safe installation on machine platens according to the production schedule.
• Install, set up, and verify functionality of all required auxiliary equipment.
• Install and remove auxiliary and secondary equipment (e.g., drill presses and dryers) as needed for production.
• Operate hoists and other equipment safely.
• Confirm, install, and set water lines, die height, ejection stroke, nozzles, heaters, hot runner controllers, hot oil heaters, and other equipment.
• Read and interpret product drawings.
• Use quality-checking equipment to ensure product standards.
• Troubleshoot processing issues to achieve acceptable outcomes.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and on time.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe production area.
• Report safety, quality, and machine issues to supervision promptly.
• Follow all procedures, rules, and safe work practices.
• Complete crane, lift truck, and other government-mandated training.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of production procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints and manuals.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Strong teamwork and professional communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in plastics injection molding and factory settings.
