Mold Room Technician

Job Purpose

The Level #2 Mold Machine Maintenance role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repair and service of mold tooling for facility molding equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Follows all documented safety, quality, and maintenance procedures
• Responds promptly to safety hazards and machine breakdowns
• Understands and interprets blueprints required for work
• Performs change overs to the molding equipment as scheduled
• Performs routine service and mechanical repair on mold tooling
• Maintain an inventory of spares to support production demand
• Completes documentation related to the task at hand
• Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area
• Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision
• Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards
• Maintains excellent safety record
• Maintains excellent attendance record
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical certification in a related field preferred
• Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience
• At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures
• Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection experience preferred

Working Conditions

• Must be able to stand and/or kneel frequently, lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Must be available on an on-call basis
• Position is located in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent)
• Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent)
• Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent)
• Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)

Compensation

Competitive starting pay range of $24.48-$30.61 per hour, paid weekly.

Available Shift

1st Shift 12-hour 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, 5-2-2-5 schedule.
