About the role

We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as a Mold Prep Technician. In this role, you will perform essential operations required to build high-quality ceramic shell molds that encase wax sprue assemblies for the investment casting process. This position is critical to ensuring product quality, process efficiency, and safety throughout mold preparation.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety requirements and job safety procedures
• Receive and complete daily assignments from department leadership
• Perform foundry operations including:
• Autoclave processing
• Patch and dip procedures
• Burnout operations
• Visually inspect ceramic shells for process deficiencies or potential scrap issues
• Monitor machinery for maintenance concerns and report issues promptly
• Accurately maintain labor records, logs, and production documentation
• Enter required production and process data into company software systems
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Attend and complete required safety and compliance training, including:
• Hazardous material/waste handling
• Proper lifting techniques
• Lockout/Tagout procedures
• Support additional departmental duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing/foundry environment
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• Comfortable working in extremely high-heat environments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials regularly
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to work safely around high-temperature equipment and industrial machinery
