Mold Maker

About the role

The Mold Maker is responsible for building, revising, and maintaining Entegris and customer-owned molds, tooling, and fixtures by performing machining and mechanical processes, methods, and techniques. With proven performance, opportunities to grow into larger or different roles exist. This position may also provide additional support to production teams and help cover on-call situations.

Responsibilities

• Build new molds and mold inserts for existing tooling.
• Repair molds to allow quick turn-around when issues arise, within competency level.
• Maintain current and appropriate documentation in mold files and complete all job-related documentation.
• Operate Tool Room equipment at a high level of competency (CNC Mills, CNC EDMs, and CNC Lathes).
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to mold cycling, mold function in the press, miscellaneous tooling, and fixtures as required.
• Complete miscellaneous tasks in support of the larger organization and production goals.
• Assemble production molds, clean molds following standard procedures, and reassemble as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2-year degree in mold making or completion of a qualified apprenticeship program.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to demonstrate problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and perform math computations and computer data entry.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand during the entire shift.
• Ability to perform repetitive pushing and sliding of mold plates and mold inserts.
• Periodically requires repetitive hand, wrist, and grasping of objects with fingers for extended periods.
• Ability to visually detect quality defects.
• Ability to work overtime and on-call schedule as required.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 1st or 2nd shift.

Pay

Compensation is $35.50–$45.00 per hour or higher based on experience, with a $1.25 shift differential for 2nd shift.
