About the role
This position focuses on injection mold maintenance, including assembly, disassembly, preventative maintenance, and quality assurance of fabricated tooling.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and disassemble molds following applicable work instructions and blueprints.
- Perform overhauls (preventative maintenance).
- Fit and shape mold components in accordance with training guidelines; understand parts mating, position, and function.
- Perform quality assurance checks on all fabricated tooling.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Prepare required documentation (e.g., tooling work orders, quality inspection reports).
- Ensure proper verbal and written communication with other departments regarding mold activities.
- Perform all job duties per OSHA guidelines, safety rules, and housekeeping requirements; ensure other maintenance associates follow the proper guidelines, rules, and requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Two-year Machine Tool Technology degree, or 1–3 years of on‑the‑job experience with injection mold maintenance.
- Fine motor skills for handling delicate components.
- Ability to perform frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and ability to work at a fast pace.
