About the role
The qualified individual will be performing duties to remove, clean and install molds, pots, and accessories.
Responsibilities
- Perform mold change setup for production and sample run
- Set up ejectors, knockouts, and slitters
- Hoist molds and fasten to top and bottom platens
- Realign platform and workstation with press
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order
- Report presses breakdowns or malfunctioning problems to maintenance; makes minor repairs
- Clean molds and pots; maintain cleaning tanks including routine test and adjustments or changing of caustic solution (Respirator is required)
- Inspect mold for damage and replace damaged inserts, hinge pins, wasteless boards, etc.
- Complete reports and records as required
- Organize and maintain mold storage area
- Maintain close communications with shift supervisors regarding repairs to set up equipment and scheduling of mold cleaning
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
Any mold maintenance, maintenance, or any other type of mechanical experience is a plus.
