Mold Maintenance technician

PURPOSE

Performs routine maintenance on injection mold tooling.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Successfully assemble and disassemble injection molds.
• Identify tooling components that either need repaired, replaced, or cleaned.
• Clean and replace worn tooling components.
• Repair some minor components with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
• Document, with clarity, inspection forms and work orders.
• Check work thoroughly to ensure quality.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical school certificate or degree a plus.
• 1-year job-related work experience.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions, manuals, and safety rules.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility and ability to handle and manage change effectively and efficiently.
• Self-starter and able to effectively work without close supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment.
• Employee will stand or walk most of their work hours.
• Routinely use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
