Mold Changeover Specialist

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced injection molding environment on 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and approve incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products
• Perform scheduled mold changeovers to support production and customer order requirements
• Assist with mold disassembly, cleaning, and preventive maintenance
• Complete in-press mold cleaning and basic repair tasks to keep molds running efficiently
• Replace worn tooling and mold components using available spare parts
• Maintain inventory of mold repair and replacement components
• Communicate with production, quality, and tooling departments regarding mold status and production needs
• Read and interpret basic mechanical blueprints and drawings
• Utilize shop equipment and tools while following all safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist with additional tooling and mold maintenance duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in injection molding, tooling, machine shop, or similar manufacturing environment preferred
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs
• Knowledge of mold construction, assembly, and disassembly preferred
• Familiarity with machining practices and shop equipment such as mills, EDM machines, and surface grinders is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D mechanical blueprints
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Experience in quality inspection within precision machining or manufacturing

Pay

Pay rate is $17+ per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Second shift: 3pm to 11:30pm Monday through Friday (training on 1st shift: 7am to 3:30pm).
