Mold Change Lead
About the role
ORBIS is hiring a Mold Change Lead. This position provides day-to-day leadership to the Mold Change team, focusing on safety and quality. Key responsibilities include performing mold and version changes, setting up molding machines, conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership to the Mold Change team, with a focus on safety and quality
- Perform mold and version changes according to the production schedule
- Set up molding machines and ancillary equipment for production
- Conduct preventive maintenance on molds, including lubrication and minor repairs
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and repair machine components
- Ensure all work is completed safely using required PPE and in compliance with standard work
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, including CI and 5S efforts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Requirements include strong mechanical aptitude, 2-5 years of plastic injection molding experience, previous overhead crane experience, proven ability to lead by example in a hands-on environment, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Qualifications
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and 2-5 years of plastic injection molding experience.
