Job Description
Responsible for molding production in assigned area and minor maintenance activities on assigned presses.
- Operate injection molding presses to supply downstream equipment with molded components including inspection of components and requesting technical support to maintain part quality.
- Carry out minor maintenance activities on assigned presses.
- Collaborate with other molding team members to ensure equipment runs smoothly during breaks and call-outs.
- Operate multi-cavity injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to produce conforming product to quality specifications at rated output.
- Place surplus molded components into inventory.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all products produced in the department, raw materials needed, and product quality standards.
- Ensure that machinery, work areas, and floors are kept neat and orderly, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Perform thorough product inspections and make informed decisions regarding product quality requirements.
- Effectively function within a team with minimal supervision.
- Familiarize oneself with all relevant controlled documents, preventative maintenance task lists, and equipment manuals pertinent to the operation of all equipment in the cell.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One to two years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in injection molding presses (both electric and hydraulic).
- Must have 20/30 vision with or without corrective lenses, and/or successfully complete a color vision exam.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or hold a valid Green Card.
- Must be available to work a 7AM - 7PM schedule with a 3-2-2-3 rotation.
