Mold Operator | Mon-Fri 7am-3pm

About the role

At Marmon Utility, you'll operate injection molding machines and perform various tasks in a highly automated production facility. You'll also inspect, sub-assemble, and package products. This role is a key member of a team that enables production.

Responsibilities

• Operate all machinery associated with production needs.
• Load and unload machines.
• Perform simple sub-assemblies.
• Quality inspect all parts.
• Make boxes and package products.
• Maintain raw material supply to machines.
• Rotate between work centers on a daily basis.
• Keep equipment clean and maintain an orderly work center.
• Learn to operate automation and robotic equipment.
• Participate in LEAN Kaizen events and lean manufacturing education/training.
• Follow all safe work practices, work instructions, and policies.
• Complete all employee training.
• Participate in toolbox talks and town hall production meetings.

Requirements

• Hand and assembly skills.
• Plastic machinery knowledge is a plus, but willingness to learn is required.
• Use of electric pallet jacks and other lift-assisting equipment or willingness to learn.
• Simple math skills.

Qualifications

• Provide suggestions for improvement using the company's Yellow Card Suggestion system.

Skills and Knowledge

• Willingness to learn equipment, automation, and robotics.
