About Us

Join one of the Gazette’s Best Workplaces six years in a row and one of the top 150 workplaces in Colorado by the Denver Post for the last five years. Vanguard Skin Specialists is a dermatology and plastic surgery practice serving communities in southern Colorado. Our mission is to make a positive impact on our patients, our community, and our world. This mission drives everything we do—from opening offices in underserved areas to sponsoring humanitarian projects to volunteering locally and abroad. We believe delivering exceptional medical care requires investing in an extraordinary team and work environment.

We are a multi-provider medical practice guided by operating principles: excellence in patient care, a one-team mentality, and making a positive impact in the world. We are fanatical about providing the best patient care without compromise. Our teams come in early and stay late to ensure patient concerns are addressed and our schedule is fully optimized. We take care of our patients the way we would want our children, parents, and grandparents cared for. We work long, challenging days to make this happen and expect you to help us sustain this level of excellent care.

We run a remarkably efficient and busy clinic. You will need to juggle many tasks while maintaining efficiency and ensuring all small details are accounted for. Superhuman organization and attention to detail are a must. We operate as one team, and our patients and team members will count on you to be here every single day, on time.

Our diverse team includes individuals applying to PA or medical school, those with Medical Assisting or Medical Lab Sciences certifications, graduates from Colorado College, UCCS, UC Boulder, and elsewhere, as well as runners, rock climbers, book worms, musicians, introverts, and extroverts. We share one passion: providing the absolute best medical care to our patients.

We are growing quickly, our management team has been promoted from within, and our team has extremely high expectations of each other. Our clinic is busy and hardworking, and we love what we do.
