Mohs Histology Tech Part Time
About the role
Join the growing Mohs Dermatology team as a part-time (28 hours/week) Mohs Histology Tech at Gateway Two (2621 NE 134th Street – Vancouver, WA 98686).
Responsibilities
- Perform orienting, embedding, cutting, and staining of frozen tissue specimens.
- Freeze tissue samples, cut frozen sections and mount samples on slides.
- Prepare correct reagents and solutions utilized in procedure.
- Maintain quality control logs for slide review.
Requirements
- Minimum of six months of recent experience as a Histology Tech with previous frozen section experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Mohs or Dermatology is strongly preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) program preferred.
- HT (ASCP) or HLT (ASCP) certification preferred.
- Previous experience with computer software is helpful.
