Mohs Histology Tech

Exciting opportunity to join the growing Mohs Dermatology team as a part‑time (28 hours/week) Mohs Histology Technician at the Gateway Two clinic (2621 NE 134th Street, Vancouver, WA 98686).

Responsibilities

• Orient, embed, cut, and stain frozen tissue specimens.
• Freeze tissue samples, cut frozen sections, and mount samples on slides.
• Prepare reagents and solutions required for the procedure.
• Maintain quality‑control logs for slide review.
• Adhere to strict attendance standards to support high‑quality, compassionate patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum six months of recent experience as a Histology Technician with frozen‑section experience.
• At least one year of experience in Mohs surgery or dermatology (strongly preferred).
• Graduate of an accredited Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) program (preferred).
• HT (ASCP) or HLT (ASCP) certification (preferred).
• Previous experience with computer software (helpful).
• Ability to work with a diverse patient and colleague population, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Schedule

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – 8:00 am to 3:30 pm (30‑minute lunch). Part‑time, 28 hours per week.

Pay

Compensation generally ranges from $33.05 to $41.45 per hour, with placement dependent on experience. The posted pay range is $33.22 – $49.83 per hour.
