Histology Technician, Part-Time

Role: Histology Tech, PRN Location: Columbus, Georgia Responsibilities The Histotechnician/Histotechnologist prepares tissue samples by cutting, staining, and ensuring they are ready for pathologist review. They prioritize testing procedures, perform them accurately and promptly, and maintain precise records in compliance with policies and regulations. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED requiredRecent graduate from an accredited histology program or at least 1 year of surgical pathology laboratory experience (preferred: 3 years)ASCP certification as a Histotechnologist or Histotechnician required upon hireFor those new to Georgia, temporary classification for up to 18 months with a qualifying exam is available Skills & Attributes: Attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, adherence to regulations, and strong record-keeping skills are essential for success in this role.
