Modular Assembly I , Weekend Shift (Machine Mods)

What You Will Do

This is a Weekend shift Opportunity Friday - Sunday (3 x 12 hour shifts) 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

This position is designed to give individuals with little or no machining or assembly experience the skills they need to become a Certified Operator at Pratt & Whitney.

• Participate in 4-8 weeks of on-the-job training.
• Learn to perform routine assembly operations on large sections of current engine designs and a variety of similar assemblies.
• Learn to work from operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to complete tasks.
• Learn to verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Obtain operator Certification to be able to accept/reject parts.
• Learn to maintain machines by performing required total preventive maintenance (TPM).
• Work collaboratively with engineers, quality assurance, programmers and other production personnel or others to resolve assembly problems and assist in part process development.
• Reference written work instructions for guidance with daily job activities.

Qualifications

• High School or GED Qualifications
• We Prefer 1 + years of manufacturing, automotive or related trade experience
• Ability to make computations involving decimals and fractions
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
