Modeling & Simulation Engineer

About the role

The Modeling & Simulation Engineer is responsible for developing network models using existing architectures, management data, and simulation tools to support AFCENT's communication and cybersecurity efforts.

Responsibilities

• Creating and analyzing network simulations
• Designing and modifying wide area networks
• Recommending strategic improvements
• Supporting technology integrations for interoperability
• Automating network processes
• Troubleshooting
• Implementing tools for network management and deployment

Qualifications

• B.S. or extensive relevant experience
• Expertise in Unix/Linux, Microsoft server environments, and network infrastructure
• CCNP or CCDP certification required
• ITIL Foundation certification preferred
• Must hold or be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
