Modeling and Simulation Lead

About the role

The Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Lead will develop a strategic performance roadmap, build and lead an in-house simulations team, and deliver advanced M&S solutions to support system design, analysis, and verification for a defense launcher program.

Responsibilities

• Create strategic plans for M&S development and integration.
• Recruit, develop, and lead an in-house simulations team.
• Oversee the development and integration of M&S solutions.
• Ensure alignment of M&S activities with program goals.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Present technical strategies and progress to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
• Extensive experience with M&S tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, AFSIM).
• Proven leadership experience in building and managing teams.
• Experience with defense or aerospace systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Eligibility for security clearance.
• Experience in strategic planning and execution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
• Prior leadership experience in a defense or aerospace environment.
• Familiarity with DoD processes and requirements.
