About the role
Epsilon C5I, a division of Epsilon Systems Solutions, is seeking a Model Based System Engineer (MBSE) Modeler (ES1) to join our team in San Diego, CA. The position supports the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) through scenario-based campaign planning.
Responsibilities
- Develop baseline threat models derived from flight internal foundational force employment intelligence.
- Add behavior models to physics-based models.
- Produce MBSE: 80% baseline analysis for scenarios, 20% tailored mission needs for wargaming.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physical Sciences, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other closely related field.
- 0-4 years of relevant experience in engineering, science, or mathematics.
- Strong Systems Engineering Foundation: A solid understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies, particularly Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Familiarity with Cameo.
- Familiarity with AFSIM/NGTS/ArcGIS.
- Background knowledge or experience primarily in INDOPACOM, but also EUCOM and CENTCOM AORs.
- Strong written communication skills, possess good people skills, demonstrate strong attention to detail and have the desire to work on a highly focused technical team of engineers, analysts, and scientists.
- Prioritize tasks effectively, manage deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance, with SCI eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Scenario-Based Modeling Expertise: Demonstrated ability to create and analyze engineering models for scenario-based campaign planning and execution.
- System Modeling Language (SysML) 2.0 Proficiency: In-depth knowledge and practical experience with System Modeling Language (SysML), specifically version 2.0.
- Familiarity with AI/ML models to process and analyze large datasets.
- Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $77,000 annually.

Work is performed onsite in the Dayton, Ohio area.
