About the role

Beacon Health System is hiring a full-time day shift Modality Coordinator for their Interventional Radiology Unit at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, IN. New pay options are being offered to eligible Interventional Radiology Techs, including premium pay of $12.00 an hour with a signed 3-year agreement and completion of department orientation.

What You’ll Do

As an IR Modality Coordinator, you’ll take on a leadership role within the Imaging Services team. You’ll oversee daily workflow in the IR suite, collaborate with Radiologists and the IR Charge Nurse to protocol procedures and optimize patient throughput, perform a variety of routine and complex interventional procedures while mentoring staff and students, maintain QA programs, technical performance standards, and documentation for accreditation compliance, troubleshoot equipment issues, coordinate service, and recommend equipment upgrades, monitor inventory and manage supplies within budget expectations, lead performance evaluations and participate in interviewing, hiring, and orienting new team members, ensure accurate patient data entry, image processing, and PACS image management, act as a clinical resource for interventional protocols, equipment, and best practices, attend management and department meetings, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

You bring an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology (Bachelor’s Degree preferred), ARRT (R) certification and Indiana State Department of Health licensure required, minimum 1-2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or a Cath Lab, demonstrated leadership abilities preferred, current BLS (CPR) certification, strong technical, organizational, and communication skills, ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, and must be available to report on-site within 30 minutes for on-call coverage.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
  • ARRT (R) certification and Indiana State Department of Health licensure required
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or a Cath Lab
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities preferred
  • Current BLS (CPR) certification
  • Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
  • Must be available to report on-site within 30 minutes for on-call coverage
