Mobilization Director - Nexus
About the Role
The Director of Mobilization for Aramark Nexus is responsible for strategically leading mobilization efforts across Nexus's business. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to successfully mobilize new business, acting as an operational expert to field teams, a technical advisor on core programs and processes, and a thought partner to senior leadership. The successful candidate is a forward thinker who exercises strong business acumen, organization, and activation leadership skills. The role requires a strategic mindset, strong project management discipline, excellent communication abilities, analytical skills, self-motivation, and creativity. The Director will lead, influence, and collaborate in matrix-organized, cross-functional teams to optimize resources and promote focus, accountability, performance, transparency, and simplicity – overseeing planning and execution, roles and responsibilities, monitoring, and communication cadence. This role consistently executes and exemplifies Nexus's brand and reputation for excellence, while maintaining the integrity of client right-to-win strategies and objectives in order to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead account activation duties as the mobilization lead, accountable for facilitating new account project plans, inclusive of onsite visits for direct involvement in implementation.
- Manage a practical implementation path and handoff of activation in a simple, rigorous, and measurable manner.
- Work in partnership with all stakeholders to tailor a mobilization plan that ensures a successful account opening and ongoing momentum.
- Work closely with all functional groups, Nexus strategic partners, and industry consultants to develop and manage plans that execute against strategic initiatives, managing clear roles and responsibilities for key stakeholders.
- Stay at the forefront of potential risks to timelines, budgets, and other activities, enabling an increase in overall growth of the business.
- Develop strategies to maintain project timelines while creating transparency and clarity for leadership.
- Enable delivery with speed and agility by clearly understanding all challenges and opportunities.
- Move many multi-faceted and multi-tiered processes forward while maintaining attention to detail under time pressure.
- Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI by analyzing the efficiency and cost of existing processes; identify areas for improvement.
- Aggressively manage implementation processes, improvement teams, and other stakeholders; create and present reports that accurately communicate progress, risks, opportunities, and effectiveness to both Nexus leadership and Clients.
- Create documentation outlining process and program changes; provide troubleshooting and continuous improvement strategic thought leadership.
- Research, prepare, and present written and oral reports; periodically conduct ad hoc research and develop insights and implications to inform business decisions.
- Employ resourcefulness, drawing on diverse approaches, to deliver solutions and information that achieve desired outcomes.
- Enable identification, resolution, and, when necessary, escalation of issues, along with mid-course correction or revision of mobilization plans.
- Validate expected plan execution and outcomes as defined by the Client and Nexus.
- Identify and manage risks that may impede the mobilization plan success.
- Foster long-term support and relationships by developing a strong level of trust and credibility with operators and clients regarding Nexus's technical competence.
- Manage high, wide, and deep expectations throughout the process to foster an environment of accountability and partnership.
- Utilize deliberate influence strategies to impact, shape, or redirect the behavior of others without formal authority, navigating different levels of leadership and varied perspectives to achieve alignment.
- Accelerate buy-in through activities that help end users uncover barriers and co-design potential solutions.
- Translate and communicate information, implications, and recommendations using clear written and verbal skills, tailored appropriately to a diverse audience.
- Leverage subject matter experts to proactively expedite task actions.
- Serve as a key point of contact for both the business unit and the client.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in client relationship building, managing business performance, sales strategy, managing tight deadlines, and effectively interfacing with all levels of an organization.
- Proven ability to take strategy from concept to operational implementation.
- Previous large-volume operational experience with operational vision and a passion for standardized processes and systems.
- Strong project management discipline, with solid organization skills and a well-honed ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Perseverance and the ability to solve problems analytically, statistically, and conceptually, with a sense of urgency to drive multi-faceted, multi-tiered projects to a successful conclusion in a challenging environment.
- Ability to translate and communicate raw data, statistical and analytical results, implications, and recommendations into clear written and verbal communication.
- Creative and flexible in style and attitude; employs a facilitative approach to project and change management; adaptive to new situations; comfortable being part of multiple projects and initiatives of varying size and complexity while meeting conflicting deadlines.

- Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Power BI, Monday.com) is a strong advantage.
Work Environment
Position is remote-based; requires constant use of computer, phone, and virtual collaboration tools. Personally committed to contributing to a positive, engaged working environment by supporting teammates, assuming the best intentions and outcomes, and encouraging creativity and good ideas. Travel requirement: 30%, including regular site visits across the portfolio and periodic client or regulatory engagement.
