Mobility Technician, Baptist South, Full-Time

We are seeking a compassionate, capable, and team-oriented Mobility Technician to join our Nursing Support team at Baptist South, serving the rapidly growing neighborhoods in southern Duval and northern St. Johns counties. The hospital blends resort-like amenities with advanced medical care, addressing the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Assist clinical staff in the safe repositioning, ambulation, and transfer of patients
- Utilize patient handling equipment such as lifts, slide sheets, and transfer boards
- Respond to mobility requests from nursing and rehabilitation departments
- Support fall prevention strategies and early mobility protocols
- Document patient mobility activities in accordance with hospital policies
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any malfunctions or safety concerns
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate's Degree preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Schedule
Full-Time Days position, working 40 hours per week with shifts of 8:00am–4:30pm. Weekend rotation included.
