Mobile Tire Technician

About the role

Tesla is seeking an experienced Mobile Tire Technician to work on Tesla electric vehicles. This role involves substantial customer and employee interaction, requiring technical expertise and a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service. The position entails daily travel within the region, as directed by the Mobile Tire Dispatch Team.

Responsibilities

• Performs apprentice-level inspection, repair, and service of Tesla electric vehicles
• Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
• Perform equipment inspections, adjustments, and certifications
• Maintain records of time, expenses, materials, and cleanliness of vehicles
• Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
• Support other Mobile Service Technicians and Tesla Service Centers as needed
• Daily regional travel

Requirements

• Knowledge of methods and techniques in the maintenance and repair of vehicles; trade school training or ASEs preferred
• Hands-on experience mounting and balancing tires and tire repair
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including the public and internal stakeholders
• Ability to quickly adapt to new systems, processes, and a dynamic work environment
• Must be comfortable with daily regional travel and operating a large service vehicle (including tow trucks and trailers)
• Valid driver's license required; must be willing to become DOT certified

Pay

• Service Technician, Mobile Tire I: $30.50 - $34.00/hour
• Service Technician, Mobile Tire II: $35.15 - $38.85/hour
• Service Technician, Mobile Tire III: $38.59 - $44.84/hour

Pay includes cash and stock awards plus benefits for all levels. Pay offered may vary depending on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
