About the role
Our technicians provide superb customer service by diagnosing, performing visual inspections, removing parts and attachments, handling warranty repairs, conducting preventative maintenance services, repairing lights and wiring, welding, cutting, and other repairs. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with eligibility for overtime. For well-qualified, proven efficient applicants, we offer a flat-rate compensation plan and a monthly bonus incentive based on upsales.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel trucks and equipment
- Perform visual inspections and preventative maintenance services
- Remove and replace parts and attachments
- Handle warranty repairs
- Repair lights, wiring, and perform welding and cutting tasks
- Operate power and hand tools safely
- Read and comprehend technical instructions and information
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other contacts
- Use company-issued mobile applications for safety inspections, coaching materials, driving performance monitoring, notifications, and payroll/attendance processes
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of diesel truck service and computer diagnostics experience
- Mechanical aptitude and technical ability
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company criteria
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Driver Medical certification
- Personal smartphone capable of downloading, installing, and reliably operating company-issued mobile applications
- Willingness to submit to a background check and post-offer drug screen
Physical demands
- Stand for six to eight hours per shift
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel
- Use hand and power tools
- Lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds several times per shift
- Use hoist and test equipment
- Exposure to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials
