Mobile Technician Responsibilities
- Inspect & Repair: Perform maintenance and repairs on air brake systems, electrical systems, and trailer components.
- Inspect and repair trailer bodies, chassis, doors, floors, and more.
- Handle minor mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assemblies, including lift gates.
- Conduct welding, cutting, and fabrication as needed.
- Install & Replace: Install add-on components such as toolboxes, ramp kits, dunnage racks, and winches.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
- Quality Checks & Reporting: Prepare service reports and documentation. Examine work for defects and ensure high-quality repairs. Follow troubleshooting procedures and communicate concerns or needs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Chauffeur’s License with a clean driving record (no recent DUIs).
- Valid DOT medical card.
- Reliable transportation.
- Own a personal set of hand tools.
- Broad knowledge of semi-trailer equipment, tools, and systems.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and welding equipment.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in semi-trailer repairs.
- ASE or other industry-recognized certifications (welding certification a plus).
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
