Mobile Service Technician - Savannah

About the Role

This is a remote position that requires travel to customer sites in the Savannah area. The Mobile Service Bus Technician will perform basic diagnostics, repairs, and preventive service procedures on bus-specific systems.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites and provide various service repairs.
• Follow diagnostic repair plans as required by the manufacturer.
• Meet service goals while providing superior service.
• Document customer repair plans in a timely manner once repairs are completed.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance.
• Efficiently navigate a computer.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Minimum High School graduate or equivalent (preferred).
• Formal diesel and/or heavy-duty vehicle training (preferred).
• At least 2 years’ experience as a mechanic in an automotive, school bus, trucking, or heavy equipment environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver’s License (required).
• ASE Certifications (preferred but not required).
• CDL (preferred).
• Position contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Skills & Knowledge

• Inspecting, diagnosing, testing, and repairing buses or other vehicles and their systems.
• Skill at following both verbal and written instructions.
• Knowledge of the use and care of hand tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Understanding of safe work practices.
